Trip Summary

It must be getting close to Thanksgiving again because that means we're headed back to El Salvador to support and serve our family down there at Love & Hope Children's Home and Love & Hope Youth Ministry.

This being the sixth Mission 5IVE.14 team trip, we'll continue building our relationships with the kids at Love & Hope Children's Home, leading small group conversations and a bible study. Being Thanksgiving week, we provide for and cook the Thanksgiving meal along with help from the kids and discuss the importance of being grateful to God for all the things He provides in our lives.

Our service project this year has us returning to Nejapa as we're funding and participating in renovation projects at The Hope Center. We'll be building out a new stage and a new library. The Hope Center is an integral part of the Love & Hope Youth Ministry run by Bobby & Britney Hibbs. They host church services, worship nights, community gatherings and they are able to generate revenue to help fund their ministry by renting out the space for various events.

Bobby & Britney courageously and faithfully continue to reach out to the lost and neglected youth of Nejapa. Their ministry is saving lives as they encourage these teens to avoid the pitfalls of gang life and instead, encourage them to grow into responsible young adults and lead an upright Christian-based life.
